THIS S&w MODEL HAS A SN OF 48207, 32 RF CAL, 3 1/2 " BBL, SOLID RIB BBL, NICKEL FINISH, & WONDERFUL DeGRESS GRIPS. tHE GUN WAS MANF BETWEEN 1868-1875 & DeGRASSE PATENTED HIS GRIPS APRIL , 1874. THE GUN WAS PROBABLY MADE BETWEEN 1874 TO 1875. THE GRIPS HAVE A HIGH RELIEF IN GOLD OF A KNIGHT ON THE RIGHT SIDE WITH FLORAL & SCROLL WORK ON THE REST OF THE GRIP. THE LEFT GRIP PANEL ALSO HAS THE PAT. DATE OF 1874 AROUND THE SCREW HOLE. THE TOP BBL RIN HAS THE STANDARD MARKINGS OF S&W ON IT. IT IS RARE THAT THIS GUN HAS THESE GRIPS AS THEY WERE ONLY PUT ON THE LAST 2 YEARS OF THE SMITH MODELS RUN BUT WERE MORE COMMON TO BE PUT ON THE MARLIN POCKET MODEL WHICH RAN A LITTLE LONGER THAN THE S&W MODEL. GREAT CONDITION GUN WITH RARE GOLD GRIPS.
