WE HAVE FROM A LOUISANA ESTATE THIS GREAT EARLY PERIOD (1790-1830) AMERICANA QUEEN ANNE MAHGONY DROP LEAF TABLE THAT HAS TAPERED QUEEN ANNE LEGS, PAD FEETS, GREAT CONDITION, & PROVENANCE. uNDER THE TAB IS A TAG ATTACHED TO THE TABLE THAT STATES THE FOLLOWING:
BOUGHT BY J F MORTON 1 FOR $1.50 ABOUT 1875, SECRET COMPARTMENT.

SO WE KNOW THAT THIS TABLE WAS AT A LOUISANA PLANTATION FROM 1875 TO TODAY. THAT IS AT LEAST 143 YEARS OLD & THIS PIECE IS NEW ENGLAND CONSTRUCTION SO THAT A PREVIOUS OWNER OWNED IT BEFORE 1875.
THE TABLE HAS TO BE EXTENDED BY 2 SWING OUT TAPERED LEGS. THE WOOD IS PERIOD USING OLD DOVETAIL CONSTRUCTION, OLD HINGES, WITH SLIGHT ALTERATIONS. THE DIMENSIONS ARE THE FOLLOWING:
