Diversified Antiques was founded @ 40 years ago when I was working my way thru graduate school  at the University of Missouri at Rolla. I had 5 children in graduate school & needed money & a chance to get out of the house & lab to regain my sanity. I learned from many persons the auction & antique business from people who were not associated with the University. Great practical experience not found in books. The key for me was turnover. If i can take a product & sell it within 2 months for a 20% profit & keep on doing it the rest of the year, that is a 120% return of money. Take off @20% for expenses & you can double your money in a year. That sounded good then & the same procedure is done today. This is why I have many repeat customers because I can give the customer a great product at a lower price than most competitors who insists on a 100 to 200% markup. On our listings, the markup is small & thus we can sell more items than most people. There is not a discount on most products listed as we have already added a small markup for profit & expenses. A novel approach to business but it works. Try us & you will get a good product for a fair price.
